I'm a divorced dad of three, working my way up from night stocker to founder — building a company that gives ordinary people a real stake in something that matters. I talk about ownership, rebuilding, and making America work for the people who show up every day.

The People Worth Spending Time With

August 31, 20261 min read

Last night I went out dancing with a group of friends, and somewhere between the music and the laughing so hard my face hurt, it hit me: this is what I actually want more of.

Not more hustle. Not more hours grinding on the next project. More nights like that one.

I talk a lot about time being the one resource you can't get back. You can rebuild money. You can rebuild momentum. You can't rebuild a Tuesday night in 2026 once it's gone. So the question I keep asking myself isn't just "what am I building" — it's "who am I building it with, and who gets my time along the way."

The friends I was out with last night are the kind of people I can fully let loose around. No performance. No managing anyone's expectations of me. Just showing up as I actually am and having that be enough. That's rare, and it's easy to undervalue until you're standing in a room full of people who genuinely have your back.

Here's the forward-thinking part: I don't think connection like that is separate from the work I'm doing. It's fuel for it. The version of me that's building something for the long haul needs nights like this — not as a reward for hitting a goal, but as part of the foundation. You can't pour from a life that's all output and no joy.

So if you're deep in a season of building — a business, a comeback, a new version of yourself — don't let that convince you that connection is a luxury you'll get to later. Make room for the people who let you be yourself. That's not time wasted. That's time invested.

What I'm building

America's Holding Company

Ownership for everyone
who shows up

Most people spend their whole life paying into things they'll never own. I built the opposite of that. Twenty-seven dollars a month. A Christmas ornament. And real ownership that grows every year you stay.
