Daily Journal Transcript

It's. Good evening. Good evening.

Good evening. It is March 16, 2023. Time marches on.

Ha. Look at all that marching we just did. Wasn't that fun? Today? I have been thinking a lot about saying no.

Saying no and focusing on what are you really want? What do you really, really want out of life? And how do you make that happen? Because at the end of the day, we only have 24 hours. And no matter how successful you are at whatever you decide to do, you will never get more time. So we need to be very conscious of how we use our time now to make our dreams a reality.

And part of doing that is learning to say no, learning to say no to the things that really aren't in your best interest in terms of the life you want to live. So when you say no, it gives you power, because every time you say no, you're saying yes to something else. And every time you say yes, you're saying no to something else, no matter what.

A yes is not just a yes. A no is not just a no. Both yeses and no's affect each other.

And because of this, we have to stop and look at the world we're living in, the world we're creating for ourselves to live in, and say, is this the world I want? When I do this thing? Let's pretend you're a house cleaner. When I clean houses, am I creating the world I want to live in? Now, if you've got a plan and you're working that plan and you know this isn't the end game, great, or this is the end game for your career, because careers are not everything. I don't even call what I do a career.

I call it my impact path. What is the impact I want to leave on the world, not my career path. How do I want to make money? What's the impact? What do we want to leave the world with? So it just got to realize that when you say yes to everything, you're saying no to other things.

And when you say no to things, you're saying yes to other things. It's all tied together. So the most important time to pay attention to what are you saying yes and what are you saying no to? Depends on how much time the question requires.

So if you're talking about your career and we're talking about someplace you're going to go, spend five days a week working there as part of this organization, then you want to be really sure that this is a good fit. Whereas if all you're doing is, hey, I got an extra hour, anybody need help? You can do anything. The amount of time you're going to spend doing something determines how you want to look at that thing.

How does it fit in your plan? Is it going to make you more successful or less successful? Is it going to get you closer to your goals or further away from your goals. Either way, it's your choice. Either way, it does not matter.

But you need to know, you need to pay attention. These are some of the most important things that you can do when it comes to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. So today, I just want to encourage you.

What do you need to say no to? Think about it. What opportunities are showing up in your life that you need to say no to? I know I have some amazing friends who have brought up some amazing opportunities, and I'm saying no to them. You know why? Because it's not in line with the number one thing I want for my life.

But I have to know that for me to say no, for me to make these judgment calls. So pay attention to the life you want to live, pay attention to the life you want to create. And look, what else can you do? How else can you do it? At the end of the day, we're all in this together, so let's make it a fun journey.

I'm all about fun. So with that said, I hope you guys had a fantastic day today. I did.

It was awesome. I got to spend some time with my friend Robert, got a lot of work done with project tools. We're moving right along.

And, yeah, we'll go from there. With that said, like, and subscribe if you haven't if you find value in my thoughts and sharings, I appreciate if you came along the journey with me. And have a great day.
