Life Update: Finding My Groove at WinCo, Grinding Toward Dreams, and Pausing Dating

September 24, 20252 min read

Hey, Life with Justin Stephens community! Justin here, checking in with a journal entry on the latest chapter of my life. It's 10:23 PM EDT, and as we document this journey through personal finance, success, business, sales, and marketing, today's update reflects where I'm at—progress, priorities, and a bit of a pivot. Things are moving well, and I'm grateful for it. Let's dive in.

WinCo Rhythm: Getting in the Groove

Things are going well at WinCo, and I'm finally getting into a groove of what I need to be doing and when. The night shift is starting to feel natural—stocking shelves, organizing aisles, and prepping the store for morning customers. This week, I've been doing handyman stuff right after my WinCo shift, then sleeping in the afternoon until late evening before heading back. It's a grind, but I'm loving the progress on the work front. Seeing the store come together and clients' spaces transform keeps me motivated—it's exciting to imagine when all this comes together into a stable, thriving life.

Grinding Hard: Building My Dreams

I'm putting in serious effort to build my dreams—WinCo provides the foundation, and the handyman hustle is where I pour my passion. The revenue from both is helping me reinvest in my blog and America's Holding Company vision. It's hard work, but the momentum is building, and that fuels my excitement for the future. The schedule is intense, but it's a trade-off I'm willing to make right now to lay the groundwork for stability and growth.

Personal Life: Pausing the Dating Game

On the personal side, I'm currently not seeing anyone and have decided to stop looking for now. With the time I have, a relationship isn't a priority—rebuilding my life and getting to a level of stability feels more important. Dating apps were fun to explore, but my focus is on getting my finances, family, and hustles in order before diving back into that game. It's a conscious choice, and I'm at peace with it, knowing the right connection will come when the timing aligns.

Reflections: Gratitude and Anticipation

I feel very blessed to have the opportunities in front of me—WinCo's ESOP, the handyman gigs, and the chance to share my journey. I'm excited to see what life holds moving forward, trusting that this grind will pay off in stability and impact.

Why This Matters for Your Journey
