Hey, Life with Justin Stephens community! Justin here, with a journal entry on recent life updates—it's been a productive and reflective time. As we document this journey of personal finance, success, business, sales, and marketing, these check-ins keep me accountable. From settling into WinCo, growing the handyman hustle, and some personal highs, things are moving forward. Let's dive in.
My first full week at WinCo has been solid—I'm getting the hang of the night shift routines, and it's rewarding to see how our team transforms the store overnight. The customer service focus is shining through; even on stocking, we're encouraged to help shoppers if they're around late. The ESOP ownership is a constant motivator—knowing my efforts build equity makes the hours feel like investments. Overall, it's a great fit for stability while I pursue my hustles.
The handyman side is picking up steam! This week, I secured another client for rental unit prep—organizing spaces, minor repairs, and yard touch-ups. It's fun seeing the direct impact, and word-of-mouth is starting to bring inquiries. Justin's Handyman Services is evolving beyond fixes to full support, like errands and defect spotting. Revenue is funding the blog, and I'm excited about scaling—perhaps hiring help soon for bigger jobs. If you're in Boise and need assistance, hit me up!
On a personal note, things are looking up—I've been talking to that girl more, and it's going well; the connection is building naturally. Family time remains key, with parents' support making the shift balance possible. Sleep is still a work-in-progress, but hacks like short naps are helping. It's funny how patience lets things unfold—my 3-year plan feels on track.
This week reinforced that success is in the details and consistency—WinCo for stability, hustles for growth, and personal ties for fulfillment. Grateful for the momentum.
Updates like this show how blending steady work with passions leads to holistic success—in finance (diversified income), business (scaling value), and life (nurturing relationships).
