Set a Lifetime Goal: The Ultimate Life Strategy for Meaning, Momentum, and Legacy

Grok Input:

This time of year is perfect for goal setting! It is about to be a fresh start where you can do reimagine your life as you want it and build it in a way that works for you. I love goal setting and think that everyone should set goals for their life. I say life because if you set goals that are short term - between 1 to 5 years - you will always be changing and adopting this goals. If you set a goal for your life, it gives you a destination that you can build on year after year. My life goal is to build up America's Holding Company for my kids and their kids. The way I do that will change as I learn and grow, but that is my guiding star. I named it America's Holding Company because I wanted it to be something bigger than me, my family, or even my community. I want a goal that will be challenging and difficult to complete. The harder something is, the more joy you will find in chasing it. Goals do not chase themselves, you need to pick a goal and be intentional about it. Thinking through it and looking at all the different ways you can accomplish it will help you ultimately accomplish it. In life, the game is won by those who stay in the game the longest. You can win and accomplish your goals sole by identifying them and chasing them for years. Anything that you chase for 10 or more years, you will be able to achieve in some form or fashion. Most people change their goals so often that they lose the power of time and focus on one goal. I know in my entrepreneurial journeys that I have fallen prey to the shiny objects that I think will be easier or get me there faster, but the truth is time is the only thing that will get you there. If you are constantly changing where there is, you will never make it. That's why today I want to encourage you to set a life time goal for yourself. Something you want to accomplish, something you want to change, something you want to leave for the generation behind you. Set that goal and create a plan to chase it. It could be saving $1 a day to buy a new house. It could be writing one blog post a day to build a following. It could be anything that resonates with you, but it is up to YOU to make it a reality. Don't wait for someone else to tell you your dreams, don't wait for someone else to motivate you, or give you the directions to take. That is not how the game of life is played. You must be the leader of your life, you must determine those goals and put a plan in place to chase them. You must take the actions to make them a reality. It is all up to you. You can do this! I have faith in you, and God has faith in you. Go be the best version of yourself possible, create a goal that will motivate you through the ups and downs of life, and make the world a better place! You have this!
