A Hockey Showdown That Brought Us Together – What Team Are You On? - 2025 - Week 8 Update

I hope you’re doing great!

Did you catch the epic USA vs. Canada hockey game in the 4 Nations Face-Off final this past Thursday, February 20th? If not, let me paint the picture for you: two nations, one ice rink, and a whole lot of passion. The game went into overtime, with Canada’s Connor McDavid sealing a 3-2 victory for the Maple Leaf. But beyond the score, what really stood out was how both the USA and Canada rallied behind their teams.

Fans from across the border—whether in Boston’s TD Garden or watching from home—came together in a big way. American supporters chanted “U-S-A!” while Canadians proudly waved their flags, singing “O Canada” with gusto. It wasn’t just about the players on the ice; it was about entire nations uniting to cheer for something they believed in. Even with all the rivalry (and trust me, it was intense—three fights in the first nine seconds of their earlier matchup!), there was this incredible sense of togetherness. Each side knew exactly what team they were on, and they showed up for it.

It got me thinking about how important it is to know what team you’re on in life. We’re all part of teams, big and small—whether it’s your family, your workplace, your community, or even a cause you care about. The USA and Canada reminded us that supporting your team isn’t just about winning; it’s about belonging, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with others, and giving it your all. When you’re clear on your team, you know where to direct your energy and who’s got your back.

So, I’d love to hear from you—what teams are you proud to be a part of? Maybe it’s a local sports crew, a volunteer group, or just your tight-knit circle of friends. Hit reply and let me know—I’m always inspired by your stories.

Here’s to the big wins, the small victories, and every moment we get to root for our team—whatever that looks like for you.

This week, I’ve been thinking about what it really means to follow your dreams. It’s not all glamorous montages and cheering crowds—sometimes it’s just you, a stubborn idea, and a whole lot of people scratching their heads, wondering why you’re bothering. But here’s the thing: your dreams don’t need anyone else’s permission to matter. There’s something raw and real about going after what lights you up, especially when the path isn’t obvious to everyone else. Maybe you’ve got a vision—a book...

This week, I’ve been thinking about something that never gets old: the sheer power of writing. There’s nothing quite like it for taking the chaos of your mind—those half-baked thoughts, big dreams, and hard-earned lessons—and shaping them into something clear, concrete, and shareable. And when it comes to sharing ideas? Books are in a league of their own. Writing isn’t just about self-expression (though that’s a nice perk). It’s a superpower for distilling what you know and passing it on....

This week, I’ve been reflecting on something pretty incredible: the power of writing a book. There’s something almost magical about taking the ideas swirling around in your head, pinning them down on paper, and turning them into something tangible you can share with the world. It’s not just about the end result—it’s about the process, the clarity it brings, and the chance to inspire others with your strategy. Why does this matter? Because we all have unique experiences and insights that...
