Starting a business is hard and comes with thousands of issues and problems to solve.
The list goes on and on, and most people don't know where to start and how to get something up and off the ground. When you are starting something, the key thing you start with is your time. That's why I have chosen to focus on Uber as a base foundation to start my business. Uber already does all the marketing, they have the people that need the rides, they just need someone to pick them up and take them where they want to go. Every Uber driver out there is in production for Uber. They are the reason that Uber is successful. When you are starting a business, I would recommend finding something that you can use as the foundation of your business like Uber. Something where you are the production of someone else's work until you figure out how to sell and produce your own product, whatever that might be. I am driving Uber as the foundation of my blog. It brings in revenue on a weekly basis that I can use to cover expenses and test out ideas. Uber is also the fastest way to prospect and get in 1 on 1 conversations with people. You can use those conversations to test out ideas and see if there is another way you can serve this person that benefits both of you. And best of all, you get paid to do that prospecting. To anyone out there who is starting out and looking for a way to fund your ideas, find a company like Uber where you can be production, get paid as a contractor, and drive revenue into your business while figuring your own business out. Business is not easy, and most people want the results of it to come instantly. The results won't quickly. Be prepared to work for 5 years on an idea, changing the messaging, the pricing, the ideal client, before you find the success you are looking for. Most people don't realize how long of a process this is. I'm on year 3 of my idea and still haven't figured out how to explain it, but that is ok. It's ok because I gave myself a 40 year timeline to make it successful. The early years will always be the hardest, if you are willing to endure the pain and suck of trying to start a business. Remember, time is your asset and how you use it will determine the results you get out of life! I hope you have a wonderful week, and take steps each and every day to chase your dreams! Justin PS - I have a weekly update that I will include on my dreams below, this is something I have been doing personally for more than 2 years now, and it is my guiding light for how I make decisions and decide what I want to be doing and chasing. I am on a journey to document the true value of time. I am doing that through writing my own documentary on my life on X. By subscribing, you will be seeing behind the scenes on how I believe we as a society can collapse time and take care of each other better.
This week, I’ve been reflecting on something pretty incredible: the power of writing a book. There’s something almost magical about taking the ideas swirling around in your head, pinning them down on paper, and turning them into something tangible you can share with the world. It’s not just about the end result—it’s about the process, the clarity it brings, and the chance to inspire others with your strategy. Why does this matter? Because we all have unique experiences and insights that...
I hope you’re doing great! Did you catch the epic USA vs. Canada hockey game in the 4 Nations Face-Off final this past Thursday, February 20th? If not, let me paint the picture for you: two nations, one ice rink, and a whole lot of passion. The game went into overtime, with Canada’s Connor McDavid sealing a 3-2 victory for the Maple Leaf. But beyond the score, what really stood out was how both the USA and Canada rallied behind their teams. Fans from across the border—whether in Boston’s TD...
The Upfront contract is a tactic that I learned from Sandler Training, and it is one of the best tactics to keep schedules on point. It is a little contract that you set at the beginning of any meeting or outing, it could even be used for going over to family! It consists of 4 parts: Time: How much time do we need to accomplish the goal of this meeting? Their Agenda: What would you like to get out of this meeting we are having together? Your Agenda: What do you want to get out of this meeting...
