Week 29 Review - Update from Justin Stephens

Journal Entry:

Happy friday everyone!

This week has been fantastic, and I feel so grateful for the opportunities that are in front of me.

I spent the entire week with different members of the Secure Pacific team in Seattle, WA. We went over how the verification center works and ways I can help make their job easier. I got to shadow a customer care representative and see how we are building and maintaining the relationships that we have with our clients, and then I spent 3 days with different sales professionals learning about their own systems and processes for generating business.

One of the biggest lessons learned was looking at the overall picture and seeing how I fit into it all and can affect change for all of us on the Secure Pacific team.

I have been figuring out the workflow for what I will be executing on for the next 10 years here at Secure Pacific as well, and I feel like I have a good handle on how I can start collapsing time in the sales process through automating lead generation and introducing our systems to people digitally before we go on the first sales call.

I think this process will help me get better results as a whole, and once I figure it out, I will be able to share the process with my whole team.

A rising tide lifts all ships as the saying goes!

On a personal side, I am moving!

I am staying with my parents while we finalize a home purchase that I will be the primary renter and care-taker of, with the goal of creating more security for me and my family.

I will still be in the Meridian, ID area so there are no big changes besides which house I call home.

I hope you all have a great week, and we will talk with you all soon!

Journal Entry: One of the most important concepts that I have learned in my life is the concept of Identity and Role Separation. This concept simply states that who you are as a person is not defined by the success or failure you have in any certain role. We all fill multiple roles in our lives, some of the roles I have are: Father Salesperson Golfer Dish washer Cook Uber Driver Singer Blogger All these roles are things that I do on a fairly regular basis, but they are not who Justin is. My...

Journal Entry: Life is such an adventure, and it always will be one. One thing I have come to realize that it will always be a team sport, and you will be on many different teams. I am on team Stephens, with my Dad and Mom, my brothers and sisters, and all our relatives. I am on team Secure Pacific, with all the other employees of Secure Pacific. I am on team Axiom, where I work out on a regular basis. I am on team Uber, where I drive people around and get driven around depending on my need....

Journal Entry: I am a failure, and I love it. The reason I am successful is BECAUSE I am not afraid of failing, and most people don't understand that the path to success doesn't go around failure, it goes through failure. Last year was a hard year for me personally, I was let go from a job, then struggled to find a good fit that could support me and my family. On top of that, my wife asked for a divorce. These are all things that make me feel like a failure, but in the end I know that the...
